Speaker biography: Margaret is regularly asked to present on the legal and administrative aspects of health systems both nationally and internationally and is currently completing a PhD at UTS on claiming and compliance. She is a regular contributor to Australia’s health reform debate both on radio and in print media and is a frequent contributor to medical panels. She is an elected member of the India Australia Business Council and will be up for the Business Leader of the Year award at an international Gala dinner in October 2017.
Talk synopsis: With a hundred years of health systems behind us we know a great deal about what works and what doesn’t work in the health market. Countries such as the UAE are perfectly positioned to benefit from this vast body of knowledge, but it’s complex! In this seminar we will consider key questions such as who should pay for health? Why is the health market unique and why are countries, with very different health systems, facing the same challenges controlling health expenditure?
