On behalf of the Advance Health networking initiative, we would like to invite you to participate in our upcoming session “Breaking down barriers in Mental Health” to be held on Thursday 26 September 2019 at Dubai Science Park.
According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), the UAE has the highest regional level of depression and it also ranks high for anxiety. As the burden of mental health conditions have increased over recent years, there is a growing need to ensure optimal mental health provision that targets awareness, prevention and timely intervention for those in need.
Faculty for this event will include speakers offering insights from the healthcare authority, clinical, insurer and provider perspectives as well as an interactive panel discussion led by Marwan Abdulaziz, Managing Director of Dubai Science Park.
Guest Speakers include:
- Dr Nadia Dabbah, Consultant Psychiatrist, Rashid Hospital, Dubai Health Authority
- Dr Charushila Thadani, Director of Health Services, AETNA International
- Dr Sarah Carter, Clinical Services Manager, CBT Clinics
- Dr Sarah Rasmi, Clinical Psychologist, Thrive Wellbeing
- Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi, Managing Director, Dubai Science Park
This event is for all members of the healthcare community to come together and network with like-minded colleagues.
Registration is free and refreshments will be provided. Join the discussion on how we can work together to improve mental health awareness and healthcare provision in the UAE.
